CABES Policy Brief No. 7: “Policy Uptake of IPBES Findings and Deepened Stakeholder Engagement in African Biodiversity Governance”

The seventh CABES policy brief offers key insights from the Eleventh Plenary Session of the
Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
(IPBES-11), held in Windhoek, Namibia (9-16 December 2024).

It focuses on the core findings derived from stakeholder consultations. This brief serves as a summary report on gathering African perspectives regarding the strategic uptake and utilisation of the newly launched IPBES Thematic Assessment reports on the Interlinkages among Biodiversity, Water, Food and Health (Nexus) and the Underlying Causes of Biodiversity Loss and the Determinants of Transformative Change and Options for Achieving the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity (Transformative Change).
